Flex is the voice of the app-based economy, representing America’s app-based rideshare and delivery platforms and the people who count on them.
Our members—DoorDash, Grubhub, HopSkipDrive, Instacart, Lyft, Shipt, and Uber— efficiently provide crucial goods and services to customers reliably, offer flexible earnings opportunities to workers, and support economic growth in communities across the country.
We advocate for policies that enable our industry to deliver for the people and communities who count on our platforms. We believe in creating more opportunities for people to live, work, and run their businesses on their own terms.
Meet the Team

Prior to joining Flex, Kristin was CEO of the Education Quality Outcomes Standards (EQOS) board, and senior fellow and former director of New America's Initiative on Work, Workers, and Technology. Kevin Ryan, Director of Policy
Kevin Ryan brings two decades of demonstrated expertise and tactical know-how in navigating the crossroads where technology law, policy, and public relations meet. At CTIA, the trade association representing America’s wireless industry, he built a forward-thinking policy team responsible for initiatives that served as the foundation for the industry’s advocacy in DC and state capitals across the country. Earlier in his career, he practiced law at Wilkinson Barker Knauer, a nationally-ranked communications and technology firm, co-founded a political consulting company, and served as a senior policy staffer for a New York State county executive.
