Flex Association Commends President Trump for Supporting App-Based Workers in “No Tax on Tips”

WASHINGTON – The Flex Association today expressed its appreciation to President Trump for including independent and app-based workers in his “No Tax on Tips” policy. The provision, passed as part of the broader reconciliation package, is expected to boost the financial security for the more than 23 million Americans who choose app-based work – many of whom rely on flexible, independent work opportunities to balance jobs, caregiving, school, and other responsibilities.

“No Tax on Tips is a major victory for the millions of app-based workers nationwide,” said Kristin Sharp, CEO of Flex. “It will have a direct, immediate, and positive impact on drivers, couriers, and the communities, consumers, and small businesses that depend on them daily. We’re thankful for the administration’s collaboration on this issue, and are eager to continue to work together to further expand opportunities for independent earners.”

Flex looks forward to working with the administration to ensure smooth implementation and ensure that workers understand and benefit from the new rules.
